Hardik Pandya, the captain of Mumbai Indians

Simon Doull a former New Zealand fast bowler, thinks that Hardik Pandya, the captain of Mumbai Indians, might be hiding an injury. Hardik bowled in the first two IPL matches but didn't bowl in the next two. In the recent match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he only bowled one over and gave away 13 runs before stopping. Doull suspects something is wrong with Hardik and believes he might be injured. Doull said, He bowled in the first match, but then suddenly didn't need to. He's injured, I'm sure of it. He's not admitting it, but my gut feeling is that something is wrong.

Hardik was asked why he didn't bowl in the match against Delhi Capitals, and he replied, "All good, I'll bowl at the right time. I didn't need to bowl because we had it covered." However, Hardik has a history of injuries, having missed matches due to an ankle injury during the Cricket World Cup 2023. He only played a few matches before joining IPL 2024. This injury could be a concern as the T20 World Cup 2024 is approaching soon.

Some fans have booed him during matches, but Virat Kohli asked the crowd to support him during the recent match. Mumbai Indians are currently in seventh place on the points table with two wins and three losses. Their next match is against Chennai Super Kings on April 14 at the Wankhede Stadium.
